Description
Views from Pall Mall street with the National Portrait Gallery next to the National Gallery in the background and afterwards we see the Public Electricity building in London's Trafalgar Square where Nelson's Column stands.
A few shots from the St Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church and the lens follows the path of one of the well known red double-decker buses in London, to continue with shots again from the National Gallery and the statue of Charles James Napier that adorns the square.
The film continues with a series of consecutive shots from the square, the shops that surround it and the traffic on the streets by passers-by and vehicles.
The lens once again shows us the Nelson's Corinthian-style column with his statue at the top designed by William Railton, three of the Sir Edwin Landseer's four lions, the two fountains, the Charles I statue and an equestrian officer on his white horse.
We watch details from the Horse Guards building, of the Equestrian Guard, and lastly footage from the sculptural decoration of the Churchill's Old War Office Building during World War II.
