Description
Ioannina is a city and the capital of Epirus, in Greece.
We are in the stone tourist kiosk on the hill of Agia Triada, in the old "Frontzou Politia", an area where the member of the parliament and mayor of Ioannina Konstantinos Frontzos, in the 60's envisioned the creation of a Cultural-Recreation center.
The filmmaker makes a zoom-in shot at his company, who sit on a stone bench, and with a zoom-out shot, we see a panoramic view of the city, during which we can stand out the Castle, the Fethiye Mosque of Ali Pasha, the Island of Ioannina and the volume of Mount Mitsikeli in the background.
Then the group of friends board on a tourist boat on Lake Pamvotida and approach the Island of Ioannina. Ducks move in the lake, the boat departs from the port of Dambratova. We follow the route to the Island between reeds. We reach the pier and we also watch a visit to the most important attraction of the Island, the Holy Monastery of Saint Nikolaos Philanthropinon.
Next shot is the house of traditional style architecture that today is the Museum of Ali Pasha, the filmmaker’s company get a tour in the Island and the film closes with a little goat eating from the rich flora of the place.
