We are in Metsovo, a mountainous town in Epirus, at an altitude of 1,160 m., in the mountains of the largest mountain range in Greece, Pindos.
The film opens with shots from Metsovo square. We see cars of that era moving on the road and behind them a mansion of traditional style architecture which apparently belongs to the National Bank of Greece.
Then we see three old men talking, one seems to be holding a cigarette while the other a cane, as a loaded donkey passes in the background. The camera takes a close-up shot at the three men and on the back we can see a sign that says "Hotel Flokas".
As the lens turns around, we see people in the square and in the background a shop with Folk Art items as it is written on the shop’s sign "Popoular art of Metsovon”.
