We are in Paris, the capital and most populous city of France.
The film opens with a hotel sign and a woman coming out of it. The woman walks and stops in a shop window with jewellery and purses. The filmmaker gives us a panoramic view of the area with the Palais Garnier or Opéra Garnier building, a 1,979-seat opera house at the Place de l'Opéra in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, standing out.
The woman continues her walk and we see cafes, shops, street traffic and passers-by. She makes a stop in front of the window of Guy Laroche Boutique and then continues her tour with the lens showing us the architecture of the PLAZA ATHENEE hotel as we see in the inscription above the front door. The view changes with a Bateaux Mouche (excursion boat for tourists) on the Seine and the Eiffel Tower standing out in the background.
The film closes with the woman admiring the landscape with the river Seine and the Eiffel Tower as the sun sets.
