Description
Shots taken from a balcony in the Garden City district in Cairo. We see the Nile River and the nearby Qasr El Nil Bridge (formerly Khedive Ismail).
The lens approaches the bridge from one end to the other, where at the end we can see the bases where two of the four bronze lions rest, works of the 19th century by Henri Alfred Jacquemart.
The film continues and records the passing vehicles on the bridge, views of the city's building structure and small boats crossing the Nile. The film closes with shots from Gezira Island, the Sofitel Hotel, and the Gezira Fountain.
