We are in Patras, the largest city of the Peloponnese, Greece.
The film opens with shots of King George I Square, the central square of Patras which is decorated for the carnival. The Patra’s Carnival is both the biggest and the oldest carnival event in Greece. We see countless people around and a show of bikes going over a ramp. The filmmaker stays at the show and then shows us the marching band. The band is followed by countless bicycles from very small to large with riders of all ages who are dressed in costumes.
With a panoramic view, we can see the square better and the two characteristic fountains with lions as well as a huge sign on the roof of a building advertising the company "Tria Alpha". The camera stands briefly on a group of youths who wear sheriff's hats and hold whistles. Afterwards, the lens focuses on the parade with the elaborate floats while we notice that there is a crowd of people on the surrounding balconies of the buildings. The film closes with the parade of floats.
