Elche is the third largest city in the Valencian Community after Valencia and Alicante.
The palm grove of Elche is a large expanse with date palms, an oasis surrounded by an urban environment.
It is the only such palm grove in Europe, the northernmost of its kind and only a few palm groves in Arab countries are larger.
In the film we can see the tall palm trees, the beautifully paved paths for visitors and the cinematographer’s companion surrounded by dozens of white doves.
The cinematographer then appears among the palm trees, cleans the car headlights and continues his journey, offering views of the area surrounding the palm grove along the beach.
The Palm grove of Elche was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 as an example of the transfer of landscape and agricultural practices from one culture and continent to another.
