Description
Views of Piraeus from the ship before leaving for Crete. We notice that Piraeus is under reconstruction.
In the film shots of passengers on a ship and a panoramic view of the port, where we can see the (unused) Tower of Piraeus, the magnificent neoclassical Megaron of the Naval Retreat Fund (NAT), the neoclassical building that houses the National Bank, the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, an advertising label of the DOMI encyclopedia and the Miaouli Coast Megaron.
Following shots show anchored ships such as the "Aphrodite" registered in Limassol, the cruise ship "Apollon 11" of the Continental Shipping, in the background the Holy Temple of Agios Nikolaos and finally a ship of the Maritime CARRAS.
Then a boat crosses the waters, while in the background we see the huge cranes used in the port and other ships.
The ship "Crete", of the ANEK shipping company departs for the big Greek island of Crete, passengers from the ship that the cinematographer boarded are watching the departure of "Ariadne" of the Minoan Lines.
The film ends with views of the harbor and close-ups of a woman's face as she smiles against the background with a lighthouse on the pier.
